Fo, the Infectious Rat
by tnn
Not so long ago, deep in an African jungle, on the edge of a swamp filled with contaminated water, crawling with all kinds of parasites, lived a rat called Fo. Fo was born to an unwed mother who was impregnated by some unknown male rat at her very young age.
Growing up without a good father, Fo soon became a rotten kid with only awful characteristics. The jungle life gave Fo many deadly diseases, little known to human beings, but ready to destroy their lives in unimaginable ways.
One day, a scientist from America captured Fo, brought him back home to study diseases of the unknown world, hoping to prevent disasters striking civilization.
It did not take long before the diseases from Fo to spread to other rats, and his talks of a free world corrupted the naive rats living in cages for too long. Soon, they broke free, invaded every corner of America, injected their diseases into every air molecules. Ultimately, disease free rats could no longer be found in the country.
Next, Fo gathered all of rats from everywhere in America to a long abandoned building, began his first step toward his dream of becoming the most powerful rat of all time. Fo started:
-“My brothers and sisters! Does it hurt you to see dogs, cats and even stupid hamsters treated better than us?”
-“Uh…no?” Said rat #1 without any confidence.
-“Shut up! It does” Fo snapped. “And you know why they are treated better?”
-“Dogs and men are BFF?” Guessed rat #2, hestitately.
-“Cats make good companionships?” Continued rat #3, nervously.
-“Shut up and shut up! No. The answer is discrimination.”
Fo continued to raise his voice:
-“My brothers and sisters! We don't want to see discrimination no more. We don't wait no more, beg no more, cry no more. We will be in control. Now is the time to change the world”
-“Change! Change! Change!” Chanted the rats.
-“Do my brothers and sisters think we can do it?”
-“Yes, we can!” The motivated rats sang happily.
The revolution was a success. All rats from every sewage system surface to celebrate Fo crowned to be new King. They kneeled before Fo, sucked up to him the best they could:
-“You are the best King our kingdom sees in ages. You will bring us prosperity. You will face and defeat any enemy…”
Finally, they all shouted in unity:
-“Long live the King! We are proud of you Fo, the African rat.”
